In the Xinhua village that is located at the foot of Mt. Gaoligong and falls under the jurisdiction of Jietou Town, west Yunnan’s Tengchong City, a traditional paper-making craft is still alive.

To finish making a paper piece, a total of 72 steps are to be proceeded, including soaking, boiling, washing, sunning, mashing pulp, picking-up, drying, and baking. Among other things, local paper sheets with hairy ends cannot be made by any machines till now.
