Handicraft making enriches local females in Qujing, NE Yunnan

Local women of Qujing embrodier together in a workshop on October 16.

A female worker cooperative named "Qiao Xifu"(skillful wives) was founded in the Tuanjie village of Qujing city, northeast Yunnan pronvince, in January, 2018.

Local women have been encouraged to take part in a range of skill training workshops since then. 

Workshops of textile and embroidery are particularly popular among participants. Women from over 160 households in the villages have been engaged these workshops which help them achieve an income increase of 20,000 yuan per year.
