In the flowering season of spring, the bullet trains that run through the verdant mountains in Yunnan form a most beautiful scene.

Since 2015, eight cities and prefectures in Yunnan have been connected by bullet trains. In 2016, the Shanghai-Kunming, Yunnan-Guangxi and Kunming-Yuxi lines allowed Kunming, Yuxi, Qujing and Wenshan to have bullet trains. In 2018, Chongxiong and Dali were included into the national high-speed rail network. At the beginning of 2019, Lijiang and Honghe were linked to Kunming by bullet trains.
