The 2019 Kunming International Flower Expo of China (KIFE) will be held in Mid July. An associated venue, the exhibition center of the Efficient Modern Agricultural Garden (EMAG) in Kaiyuan, south of Yunnan province, is under construction as planned.

Three years ago, the EMAG was a crop field where only maize and rice were grown.

But today, it has turned to be the base for 19 domestic and international horticultural companies, including Schreurs, the biggest rose and gerbera supplier across the globe.

With 5 enterprises having invested hundreds of millions of yuan, the EMAG now contains the largest repository of chrysanthemum in Asia.

Meanwhile, an innovation center for flower has been built up with massive investment, and it will be put into use by the end of June.
