How Yunnan becomes the flower kingdom?

In Southwest China's Yunnan Province, the flower industry has become for local economic development and the wellbeing of the people. Every night, the Dounan International Flower Market on the outskirts of Kunming is brightly lit. Now there are more than 40 categories and over 500 varieties of flowers are traded every day at Dounan Flower Market in Kunming. In the busy season, 8 million to 10 million flowers are delivered from the market every day and are sold to more than 50 countries and regions, among which 20-30 percent are exported to the South and Southeast Asian countries.
