In pics: They fight against forest fires heroically

Recent online pictures show fire fighters tackle forest fires that broke out in central Yunnan’s Kunming City.

Reports say 260 fire fighters worked around the clock for five days under terrible conditions deep in the precipitous mountains: rolling rocks, poor geology, manoeuvres on zigzag tails and lack of timely supplies. Their heroic spirit overcame all the difficulties. 

Due to prevalent drought in spring and early summer, forest and some properties in the province are threatened by accidental fires.
