Animals enjoy special meals for double festivals

The animals in Yunnan’s Wildlife Park have enjoyed special meals for upcoming double festivals, the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival (the 15th day of the eighth month on the lunar calendar) and the National Day (October 1).

Endowed with a high level of bio-diversity, Yunnan is known as a kingdom of animals, and the meals show locals’ love to the wild species, as well as their awakening awareness in eco-conservation. 

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional occasion for family reunions in China, and October 1, 2020 marks the 71th anniversary of the PRC’s founding. As the two festivals coincide this year, the week-long national-day holiday will be extended to eight days (Oct. 1-8).
