Located in Fugong county, northwest Yunnan’s Nujiang Lisu autonomous prefecture, the Adimadi natural village used to be home to 62 impoverished families.

In the Lisu ethnic language, the word Adimadi means a rugged and uneven place, and the abundant vegetations surrounding the village result in foggy or misty days. The locals mostly employed horses to transport goods only on fine days.

Thanks to the poverty-alleviation projects, all the 62 families were relocated to the Aludi resettlement site for an easier life in January 2018. Still, some villagers till farm land in Adimadi, turning their old homes into storage rooms.
