Chongqing-Vientiane direct road freight opens

The direct road freight service between southwest China’s Chongqing municipality and the Laotian capital Vientiane was launched on April 28 at a bonded logistics center in Chongqing.

Extending around 1,900 kilometers, the cross-border freight route enters the Lao PDR via the Mohan land port in south Yunnan’s Xishuangbanna, and it takes four days to cover the whole land route.

Without transfer of trucks at the border gate, goods are expected to flow more smoothly between China and Laos.
