Red panda born, bred in Taiyanghe park

Updated:2021-11-03 18:15:55

A baby red panda was born early this year in the Taiyanghe forest park, southwest Yunnan’s Pu’er city. Now, the red panda is four months old, wont to climbing trees and sunbathing with its mother in the day.

Since the mother panda is very sensitive to her newborn baby, it was a tough task to for the park staffers to help take care of the cub. They have to be very careful to see the park is safe and good for its growth.

Red pandas are well known for spending their day snoozing in the tree and they like eating bamboo leaves and apples. They are cute, fluffy and adorable.

Although red pandas and giant pandas share a name and love for bamboo, new genetic research suggests that they are two separate species. However, they are both endangered species under state protection in China.

Besides red pandas, the Taiyanghe park also saw population growth of other animals like black bears, rib-faced deer, horse deer and macaques this year.
