Considerate service set for passengers on China-Laos train

Updated:2021-12-01 17:52:38

During a recent ride on the China-Laos railway, three passenger-friendly services were seen equipped on the bullet train: luggage tracker, hand-held pager and five-color Chinese knots.

A trial ride on the China-Laos Railway, which is expected to officially open to traffic on December 3, was launched for journalists on November 26.

The luggage tracker can be tied on the luggage handle and connects via the passenger's mobile phone Bluetooth. If the distance between the luggage and the phone exceeds certain range, the passenger's cell phone will sound an alarm.

The hand-held pager is for passengers who travel alone or need assistive devices. They can seek help by pressing the button, and the attendants will receive the signal in time.
To help some passengers in need of special care, the five-color Chinese knots are used to distinguish various types of passengers. Blue, yellow, green, purple and red represent old, young, sick, disabled and pregnant passengers respectively.

The train attendants hang the Chinese knots next to the seats above these key passengers, so that they can provide services accordingly.
