Returned elephants seen in Taiyanghe reserve

Updated:2021-12-07 17:38:10

The 14 Asian elephants that had a sensational northbound tour and returned home earlier this year were recently spotted by forest rangers in the Taiyanghe nature reserve, southwest Yunnan’s Pu’er city.

Either swallowing vegetations in the lush woods or strolling in the surrounding banana plantations and tea gardens, the elephant herd, also known as the “nose-broken family” remained active in or near the reserve these days.
