Acrobatic play Nie Er to debut in Kunming
The acrobatic play that is named after famed Chinese musician Nie Er will be staged for the first time in Kunming, Yunnan province on October 20, said a news release Monday.
A native of central Yunnan’s Yuxi City, Nie Er composed the national anthem of the People's Republic of China.
Jointly created by first-class Chinese playwrights and composer Zhang Hongguang, the play tells the glorious life story of Nie Er in the form of acrobatic stage play.
Also, the play troupe innovated technologies in acrobatic plays by employing new props. Fusing music into stage scenes, they achieved a high degree of unity between visual and auditory effects.
With a cast of 100, the 90-minute play is said to be staged in others places following its Kunming debut.
