Bamboo liquor made by Miao girl in Guizhou

Yang Guifei, 28, is a Miao girl from Chishui city, southwestern China’s Guizhou province. In 2016, migrant worker Yang returned to her hometown to start her own business. After several years of study, she found a unique method of making bamboo liquor.By injecting the Baijiu (white liquor) into bamboo cylinders through the high-pressure and non-invasive technology, Yang stored the liquor in living bamboo for 4 to 6 months before taking it out for a drink. The Baijiu that underwent a secondary fermentation in bamboo has a better taste.
