Cherry, crabapple blossoms lure visitors to Kunming Zoo

Cherry and crabapple trees in a zoo in central Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan province, came into full bloom recently. Blooming flowers have attracted thousands of visitors to enjoy their transient beauty.  

Every March, with the petals of crabapple flowers being blown into the air, the Kunming Zoo — as one of the most popular spring tour destinations in the city — would be literally turned into a fairyland. 

This year, the time of cherry blossom in Kunming synchronizes that of crabapple trees, which has made the zoo a more beautiful and attractive place than before. 

According to a staff of the zoo, the two weeks from now on will be the best time to appreciate these adorable pink flowers.
