Hornbills in W Yunnan usher in brooding season

Pictures taken by a Xinhua reporter on March 19 show hornbills in west Yunnan’s Ying Jiang County ushered in brooding season of spring.
Hornbills, a bird species under first-class state protection in China, has been considered a “flagship species” living in tropical areas, because it can play as an indicator of the overall environmental well-being of rain forests.
