6 more COVID-19 cases confirmed in west Yunnan

Another six confirmed COVID-19 cases, as well as 23 asymptomatic cases, were reported in west Yunnan’s border city of Ruili on March 31, said local health authority. All patients are either Chinese or Myanmar nationals.
As of 24:00 of the same day, the numbers of confirmed and asymptomatic COVID-19 cases in Yunnan province reached 15 and 45 respectively.
A city-wide nucleic acid testing for COVID-19 was launched in Ruili early on Wednesday, finishing testing a total of 207,136 citizens by 20:00 in the evening. Now people in the city are ordered to stay home, and traffic controls are imposed.
