Yunnan reports 9 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases
China's Yunnan Province reported nine new locally transmitted COVID-19 confirmed cases, all in the city of Ruili, on Sunday, the provincial health commission said Monday.
Two of the cases were previously registered as asymptomatic carriers, while the rest were found in the all-inclusive nucleic acid testing in Ruili, the commission said. The province also registered three imported confirmed cases on Sunday.
By the end of Sunday, there were 148 confirmed cases in hospitals in Yunnan, including 59 locally transmitted cases. There were also 20 asymptomatic cases, including one locally transmitted.
Ruili, which lies along China's border with Myanmar, has been reporting new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases since July 4.
