Take-away deliverymen visible in Ruili's Covid-19 fight
During the recent Ruili fight against the Covid-19, take-away deliverymen on the rushing e-bikes have made quite a moving scene in the Yunnan border city near Myanmar.
Wearing masks and helmets, they had frequent presence in the streets and alleys in Ruili, delivering daily necessities to isolated residents and providing other helps in need.
“We were not allowed to enter the controlled residential quarters, and we just put the meals at the gate so that social distancing was kept to ward off the spreading Covid-19,” said Yang Ganen, a take-away deliveryman, on April 8.
To help people to stay longer at home, the Meituan and Eleme branches in Ruili managed to have around 220 take-away deliverymen on duty over the past days.
