Keep up with flowers for more honey

In spring, the rape-seed flowers bloom in east Yunnan’s Luoping County, forming nice views and inviting in some special visitors. They are actually bee keepers.

Statistics showed that over 350 bee keepers came to Luoping with 50,000 swarms of bees. In keeping up with flowering season, they hoped to produce more honey and make more money.

Hu Xiaowu is one of the bee keepers. Hu comes from the Xuetian village in Luoping County, and he learned to keep bees from his father in childhood. Now Hu keeps 200 bee swarms and earns around 200,000 yuan annually by selling honey.
