Flame trees bloom in Yuanjiang county

Recent online photos show the blooming flame trees in central Yunnan’s Yuanjiang Hani, Yi and Dai autonomous county.

Also known as royal poinciana or flamboyant tree, the flame tree is one of the world’s most colorful trees. Every spring, the tree produces clusters of long-lasting, orange-red blooms with yellow, burgundy or white markings.
