Hi, Kunming: Landscape paintings beautify streets of city

Passers-by were impressed by the novel graffiti when riding through the tunnels on Xifu Road in Yunnan’s provincial capital Kunming on Sept. 26.

The spring city Kunming is gearing up for part one of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP15), which is around the corner.

These paintings depict scenes of butterflies flying in the flowers and girls feeding seagulls, and they presented the COP15 theme of “Ecological Civilization: Building a Shared Future for All Life on Earth”.

To welcome the COP15 event, Kunming has carried out “facelift” programs over substation boxes, cable cabinets and other facilities in the city.
