Fuxian Lake, a habitat for birds in Chengjiang

The Fuxian Lake National Wetland Park in Chengjiang City, Yunnan Province, is located in the north shore of Fuxian Lake on the plateau. With high-quality aquatic eco environment and rich animal and plant resources, it attracts many birds to live and breed. In the morning, all kinds of birds including some rare ones can be seen on the bank of the lake.

In order to know the biodiversity situation of Fuxian Lake Reserve, Yuxi City conducted a survey on the habitat environment of birds. A total of more than 6,300 birds in 23 species were found, including 16 species of water birdsthat live in the north bank of Fuxian Lake all year round.

In recent years, Chengjiang city has strengthened the protection of Fuxian Lake and restored the coastal wetlands through a series of measures, such as pollution prevention and treatment, ecological relocation around the lake, and trees planting. Various plants and integrated wetland ecosystem attracted a sea of birds to inhabit.
