Earth forest

As one of the three scenic “forests” in Yunnan (the other two: the Stone Forest in Kunming and the Colorful Sand Forest in Luliang), the Earth Forest scenic area is a representative landscape in the county. 

Covering 50 square kilometers, the Earth Forest came into being since geological movement and soil erosion millions of years ago. 

If the golden sun shines in the day, the forest will present varied colors, which is the best time for photography. 

At night, camping near the earth forest is a special outdoor experience like those in science fictions or movies.
