Freight via China-Laos trains exceeds 600 million yuan

Since the opening of the China-Laos Railway on December 3, 116 international freight trains that carried goods valuing 676 million yuan have been cleared, according to Kunming Customs.

Weighing 49,800 tons in total, the goods fell into 100 plus varieties. The imported ones were rubber, iron ore, charcoal and others, while the exported included vegetables, necessities, machines and more.

Goods from 12 cities in east and southwest China have arrived in Laos by international freight trains, and some will be further sold to Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore and others.
