Yunnan issues its first RCEP independent declaration
The approved exporter of Yunnan Tin Industry Company issued the province’s first Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) independent declaration of origin on January 5.
Declaring for 768,000 dollars’ worth of tin ingots exported to Japan, the company has allowed the RCEP independent declaration system to come into effect in Yunnan.
Approved exporters refer to enterprises that have been recognized by the customs and can issue a declaration of origin for goods that are exported or produced and that have the qualifications of origin under the relevant preferential trade agreement.
Yunnan Tin is the first approved exporter in Yunnan province and the 13th approved exporter in China after the implementation of RCEP. The declaration by the company will enable Japanese importers to enjoy more preferential tax rates and speed up the clearance at customs.
