Updated:2022-02-14 19:10:52

The specially-made tangyuan with different shapes has recently gone viral in Jingdong county, southwest Yunnan’s Pu’er city.

Luo Kai, a creative woman, also decorated her tangyuan in diverse ways to celebrate the upcoming Lantern Festival on Feb 15.

As a traditional food in the festival, the tangyuans are sticky rice balls popular in south China.

In making tangyuan, the glutinous rice flour was mixed with several vegetable juices such as spinach, purple potato, pumpkin, beet root and so on. No artificial colorant is allowed in the making.
