Leopard cat returns to nature safe, sound

A leopard cat was recently released in the forest by west Yunnan’s Dehong Wildlife Rescue Center. The weak cat was first spotted and saved by staffers at Ruili Forestry and Grass Bureau and handed over to the center later.

Having been fed carefully for a while, the leopard cat recovered somewhat, and local zoologists say it is able to survive the wilderness. The cat is put under Class II state protection in China.
