Updated:2022-04-15 17:29:28

A pheasant-tailed jacana was spotted at the first time on April 7 at the Lashihai nature reserve in northwest Yunnan’s Lijiang city. With a body length of 40~55cm, the Jacana is a big aquarium bird under second-class state protection in China.

Covering 6,523 hectares, Lashihai reserve is an ideal habitat where about 100,000 birds breed every year.
