New costume designs for Bulang, Dai girls

Painter Zhou Siyü rolled out some new costume designs for the Bulang and Dai ethnic girls who live in the Jingmai mountains, southwest Yunnan’s Pu’er city.

The designs were inspired by the natural sights in the mountain: sunset, tea garden, cherry blossom, the starry sky, and more.

The Jingmai mountains house the world’s largest ancient tea plantation, which is slated to be a UNESCO world heritage site in 2022.
