Phoenix flowers bloom by Lancang River

Colourful phoenix flowers are blossoming along the banks of the Lancang River section in south Yunnan’s Xishuangbanna in early summer, creating a beautiful scene for the Dai autonomous prefecture. Lancang is the upper reach of the Mekong River, dubbed as the eastern Danube.
