Tourists enjoy better service in Yunnan

Yunnan tour-guides 

While nice toilets and sceneries entertain the visitors’ eyes, actions by some Yunnan tour-guides warmed up their hearts. Here are two examples.

     

On March 9, 2017, tour guide Lin Feng jumped into a river and rescued a Hunan drive tourist at the Puzhehei scenic area in southeast Yunnan’s Wenshan. 


Lin’s action won endless likes, comments and re-posts on WeChat Moments, and on the following day, the Kunming Tour Guides Association also issued a notice to praise him.

On January 13, a visitor from Beijing experienced a heart-breaking moment: when she was about to take photos at the Erhai Lake, her phone suddenly fell into the water. 

But what warmed her up was that Wang Haisong, a staff member with the Erhai scenic area in Dali, jumped into the cold weather to find her phone.

Wang’s behavior moved everyone present. The Beijing tourist said she was deeply touched when her phone was retrieved.

New policies

At the First Session of the 13th Yunnan Provincial People's Congress on January 25 morning, the government work report outlined some new policies to upgrade Yunnan tourism in 2018. Here are some points cited:

1. Continue to clean Yunnan tourism with “zero tolerance”. Build a system for localized management.

2. Embracing a holistic view, Yunnan will form the “all-for-one tourism”, which is international, high-end, special and easy.

3. Based on the App of “Tour in Yunnan on the phone”, Yunnan will develop smart tourism to offer ease and ubiquitous quality service to tourists. Fine routes for drive tourists will be designed.

4. Build more car camps, toilets and other facilities. Set up new standards and upgrade Yunnan tourism in an all-round manner.
