Northwest Yunnan’s Ninglang builds “2700 Apple” brand

Recently, in northwest Yunnan’s Ninglang Yi Autonomous County, 31-year-old Lu Quan was leading his native villagers in planting a type of apple trees branded as “2700 Apple”, which grows on mountains with an altitude of more than 2,700 meters. When autumn comes, the fruits born by these trees will be sold all over the country by e-commerce platforms.

Ninglang is a poverty-stricken county. When he graduated from university in 2016, Lu Quan went back to his hometown and founded the Ninglang Hengtai Agricultural Development Company Meanwhile, he has been built the "2700 Apple" brand.

“ The ‘2700 Apple’ planting base is located in Yaocaoping Village, Xinyingpan Township, Ninglang County. The average annual sunshine duration there is 2,498 hours each year, the temperature gap is big between day and night, ranging from -7°C to 30°C. These natural conditions are suitable for the planting of this kind of apple.
