Tourists date fireflies in Xishuangbanna

As the midsummer approaches, Yunnan has entered its best period of a year for firefly viewing.

The Tropical Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is located in Xishuangbanna, southern Yunnan province, recently welcomed hundreds of thousands of lightning bugs to synchronize their “dance steps” at night. 

They turned the garden into a wonderland.
