Azalea blossoms lure tourists to Luquan, Kunming
As the spring knocks at the door, various kinds of flowers have started to blossom all around Yunnan province.
Sitting in north Kunming’s Luquan Yi and Miao autonomous county, the Malutang Azalea Scenic Spot was reopened to tourists recently for blossom viewing.
According to a manager, the scenic spot will prepare a variety of events and activities for tourists who visit Malutang between April 17 and May 17.
During this period, a range of shows and performances are also scheduled to be held inside the scenic spot.
Furthermore, local products and specialties of Luquan will be displayed and available for purchase on the venue.
For those who love outdoor activities, the scenic spot can provide them with a chance to take a hot-air balloon ride or enjoy camping with tents or RVs alongside.
Apart from these joyful journeys, the scenic spot will be holding a photo contest with grand prizes.
It would take three hours to drive from central Kunming to the Malutang Azalea Scenic Spot. And the admission is 50 yuan per person.
