Lotus flowers blossom in Changning, W Yunnan

Midsummer is the time in a year to appreciate lovely pink or white lotus flowers floating in waters across Yunnan province.

In Changning, west Yunnan’s Baoshao city, lotus flowers grown inside the Xinghe Tianye Scenic Area - a major local tourist magnet - have lured tens of thousands of flower lovers recently.

People also flock to this place in order to get relief from the summer heat.
