Located 20 kilometers west of the city proper of Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan province, Leju is a village with a history of over 600 years. Built on a mountain slope, old houses stand side by side and over 50 lanes run between them. Among the 80 seal-shaped houses, over 30 have a history of more than 200 years, and over 40 are 100 years old. At the entrance of the village, there is a stone mill weighing 41,626 kilograms. Built in 2001, this hand-made mill was recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest of its kind in the world. (Photo from Li Hongfeng; Online photo)
