Dai ethnic dishes in Xinping stir diners’ taste buds

In the Jiasa town of Xinping county, central Yunnan’s Yuxi city, the Huayao (flowery waist) Dai ethnic group boasts their own cuisine culture that features fresh flowers and edible wild herbs even now.
Their favorite dishes include pomegranate flowers fried with pickled mustard-green, fried banana flowers, bamboo piped chicken and roses, egg steamed with solanum deflexicarpum. All are tasty ones.
