Hi, Kunming: Pop-rice balls for spring festival

To celebrate the Spring Festival, or the Chinese new year, families in Huilong village of Jinning district, central Yunnan’s Kunming city, are busy making pop-rice balls, a traditional snack made of rice and sugar.

A character “福fú”, which means “happiness” in the Chinese language, is written on the ball to show the idea of pursuing happiness.
