A bite on Yuanjiang plum in spring

In the flourishing season of spring, March in particular, the sweet and mellow plums are awaiting you in Yuanjiang county, central Yunnan’s Yuxi city.

The county is named after the Yuanjiang River, whose valley produces organic fruits of plum, mango and more. Locals in Yuanjiang blend plums with condiments for diverse tastes. 

Originating in Mt. Ailao, west Yunnan province, Yuanjiang makes the upper stream of the 1,149-kilometer Red River, or the Hồng Hà in Vietnamese.
