Shangri-La, paradise for bird watchers in winter
Bird watching tips in the Napa wetland:
1. Areas beside Chuizonglada and Napahai Wetland are best places for watching black storks.
2. Alpine Botanical Garden is an excellent bird watching spot in the morning. Bird lovers can enjoy a panoramic view in the parking area outside the garden.
3. Areas around Lalang Meadow are also good places to watch birds. Rare birds such as Chinese fulvetta and the three-banded rosefinch are highlights of the journey. Besides, the white-tailed sea eagles are likely to rest in trees.
4. Numerous field birds live around the Napa village. Waterfowls are easy to be photographed near lakes.
5. In front of the Xiangbala Garden lies a lake. A small mountain named “Dari” is on the other side of the lake and provides a panorama view of the middle part of the Napa Natural Reserve seen from the hilltop.
