Shangri-La offers dazzling sights in winter

What is the scenery of winter like in Shangri-la, northwest Yunnan’s Diqing Tibetan autonomous prefecture? 

In the early morning of a clear day, golden sunshine descends from the sky, casting on peaks of the Meili Snow Mountain. One of the best positions to watch the Meili sunrise is the Feilai Temple. Mt. Meili is a place worth seeing once in a life time, with its 6,740-meter peak Kawagarbo being the highest of Yunnan province. For cultural protection, climbing the peak is forbidden.
